Quick Way to Enable/Disable Triggers and Constraints

Posted: November 21, 2011 in SQL Server 2005

If you need a function to return a integer value as words, you can try the following:

-- Disable
sp_msforeachtable "ALTER TABLE ? NOCHECK CONSTRAINT all"
sp_msforeachtable "ALTER TABLE ? DISABLE TRIGGER all"

-- Enable
sp_msforeachtable @command1="print '?'", @command2="ALTER TABLE ? CHECK CONSTRAINT all"
sp_msforeachtable @command1="print '?'", @command2="ALTER TABLE ? ENABLE TRIGGER all"
